A lot of the business in Virginia, MN are putting up signs saying “No Mask, No Service”. To me that’s kinda like saying “fuck off good and faithful customers”.
This is the sign on the front door of a n new business called “The Smoke Shop”. It says “No Mask, No Service – Don’t even try it, I have the high ground”. That’s what he thinks.
This guy doesn’t have enough business to be a prick about wearing a mask. The place sells glass pipes, bongs, vapes, Delta 8 cartridges, and sundry items. It’s a nice place, and he has a beautiful selection. But I’ve never seen more than 2 or 3 people in the store at any time, and most of the time, I see a lot of people walking out without buying anything.
I’m also hearing all kinds of people saying that they don’t like the guy. I know that when I went in there to check the place out, the owner acted like he wanted to get me out the door as fast as he could.
Today, he physically blocked me from entering the store with his hand against my chest. I suggested that he removed it. He pushed harder. I stepped sideways. He grabbed my arm and it felt like I was caught in a vice. I told him to let go three times before I sifted my weight and put him flat on his back on the floor.
I very gently reminded him that he has competition and that I will be doing business with them from now on.
I WILL NOT PATRONIZE ANY BUSINESS THAT FORCES ME TO WEAR A MASK, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE PRICKISH ABOUT IT.
