I was just sitting in my living room, minding my own business, when Maze squeezed out from out from under the couch with her kitten. She shuffled him towards me and then she climbed up in her new cat tree and watched.
It took me nearly and hour and a half to put the kid’s new cat tree together. I could have probably done it quicker if Rocky and Maze weren’t trying to climb all over it while I was working on it.
Rocky climbed on the tree for about 15 minutes after I finished assembling it. After that he hasn’t seemed very interested. He would rather get up on the mantelpiece where I keep all of the breakables.
The little guy finally got to fill his belly before Maze shuffled him back under the couch. He’s an adorable little character. He was actually a bit of a surprise. One night I was sitting here visiting with one of my neighbors. We were both hearing these tiny little mews. We finally tracked it down to the couch.
I found out one day that Maze was systematically stripping all of the batting from under the couch. We flipped the couch to see just how much damage she did. I reached under the couch where I found my gold Cross pen, a silver bracelet, a small pocket knife, 2 nail clippers, and the kitten. He just jumped right into the palm of my hand.
Rocky went to the vet on the 15th. He came back with a little less than he left with. I was hoping that there weren’t any other little surprises hidden around the apartment.
This was the sole kitten that Maze delivered. I think I’m gonna name him Archie.\
