I’m sitting at my laptop working on a small project that I put on the back burner months ago. It was at this point that Maze started meowing at me. “Daddy, pay attention to me . . . Come on, I wanna cuddle . . .” She was bound and determined to get my attention.
My big problem???
I break down too quickly. I have a big project where I actually have a deadline, and Maze decides the she wants to cuddle and snuggle. The project pretty much goes on the back burner. That was pretty much the reason that the project I was working on at the time ended up on the back burner.
She jumped up on my lap, flipped herself over belly up, and she dropped off right there. I leaned back on the couch, and I figured that I’d let her lay there for a while. Of course, as soon as I started to move, Maze jumped and took off. She ran off for about 5 minutes in which she mercilessly tortured her brother. After that, she came right back, jumped up in my lap, and went right back to sleep.
Yep, I’m pretty darn sure that Rocky and Maze are doing a good job of training me.
When Misty was just a kitten, she would climb up in my lap, flip herself over belly up, and go to sleep for as long as I would sit there. Misty didn’t spook if I laid down or leaned back. Maze does pretty much the same thing.
March 9th was the one year anniversary of Johnny crossing over. I miss the little bugger a lot at times.
